Fall Prevention/Balance
Physical Therapy can help prevent falls. CACC Physical Therapy offers a comprehensive fall risk assessment along with a personalized program to improve balance and strength. An experienced CACC Physical Therapist will evaluate flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, posture, heart rate and respiration. The PT will also assess body mechanics (ergonomic positioning) in all static/dynamic situations. A personalized physical therapy program will be created to meet the patient’s specific goals. Treatment will focus on improving balance, mobility, strength and general endurance. In addition, you will perform exercises to help decrease your fall risk. The program may include a combination of balance training, walking, dual-task training, strength training, endurance training, pain management, education, and fear management.
